The Melitta Caffeo Bistro fully automatic bean to cup coffee machine immediately has the appearance of a professional machine with its bulky shape, sleek controls and the sizeable-looking milk brother attached to the side. This Coffee Maker would fit right in a high-street coffee house as much as the average home kitchen.
With its tough grinder it can create coffee from bean to cup for two different users at a time and guarantees “variety for coffee lovers” through a variety of drinks at a consistently high quality.
It’s this sense of quality and variety that lures buyers who are looking for a more professional, flawless machine, but are these qualities coming through in the use of this machine and the final product?
Integrated Milk Steamer & Frother
The milk frothing arm is very easy to use and its attached whisking head makes it easy to create a good foam for your cappuccino. When in use, it can be swung out of the machine and lowered to sit directly into a jug of milk – without even needing to hold the jug.
To activate the steam (and the frothing mechanism) press the steam button to enable the steam knob. This takes a few moments and during this time the steam button will flash, but turn stop when it is ready for use. Turning the steam knob starts up the whisk and pushes steam through your milk – heating and frothing it simultaneously. The variable knob enables you to adjust the rate of steam and gives you more control over how foamy and hot the prepared milk is.
Once you’re done the whole whisk assembly can be removed from the machine by twisting it anti-clockwise and makes it much easier to clean than if it was permanently attached to the machine, not to mention it is also dishwasher safe.
Two Bean Hoppers
One of the perks of this Coffee Maker is that it enables you to prepare several different kinds of coffee without having to swap out the beans or clean out the coffee grounds container each time you decide to try a different blend.
This is all thanks to the dual-chambered bean hopper located at the top of the device which can hold two different beans in the machine at the same time. A small lever positioned in front of the chamber allows you to select which bean to use. Find best price
It is important to mention that when changing beans, the beans from the previous cup will still be in the mouth of the grinder and it will take the preparation of a further two cups before the new beans have worked their way into the grinder and are used. This is essential to remember if you’re switching between decaf and espresso!
The simple handling and the simply arranged, intuitive buttons ensure that you can quickly and easily immerse yourself in your individual coffee moment. Just select between 4 coffee strengths and an adjustable amount of water for your personal coffee experience.
Self-explanatory symbols on the display provide you with various information, e.g. whether there is not enough water or cleaning is needed. Therefore the ease of use of the Coffee Machine has been awarded with the famous Plus X Award.

It appears that the bean hopper and water jug are on the right of the machine. It will be under wall units in the kitchen. How are they removed?
The water jug lifts about an inch then slides out so no problem with that. The beans are actually on the top and you remove the lid to refill them, so you don’t need to remove the hopper. We have ours under units and it works for us, you just might have to slide the whole unit forward when you top up your beans.
Simple Tips To A Much Better Coffee Brew
Coffee truly is among life’s great pleasures for countless individuals the world over. However, thorough coffee know-how and expertise is not something possessed by everyone. By reviewing the information below, it is possible to gain the coffee fluency necessary to maximise just about anyone’s enjoyment of this extremely ubiquitous beverage.
It is a bad idea to let coffee sit on a hot burner after brewing. Keeping the heat on will cause your coffee to “cook,” and will ruin its freshly-brewed flavour. Instead, unplug your coffee-maker or other appliance, or transfer the coffee to an insulated pot to keep it hot.
Do not use tap water when you are making coffee unless your faucet is fitted with a device that will filter out all of the impurities. There are many people that have no problem with tap water, but the reality is that tap water that tastes bad will make your coffee taste just as bad.
If you drink your coffee cold, think past just traditional cream and sugar. Mix entire fruits into your coffee. You can add foods like oranges, cherries and strawberries for interesting additions to the flavour. Even think about spicing things up with cinnamon or cardamom. The possibilities for you are nearly endless!
Remember that coffee is a very absorbent food. So, proper storage is essential. Keep your unused coffee in a place that is dry and cool where it is protected from both sunlight and heat. However, do not store it in your fridge or freezer. Also make sure the container is opaque and air-tight, to prevent coffee from absorbing flavour and aromas from other foods.
One way to ensure that your iced coffee does not become watery when you place the hot coffee over ice is to use ice cubes made from coffee. To make coffee ice cubes, simply pour freshly brewed room temperature coffee into your ice cube trays and freeze. When you are ready to enjoy an iced coffee, place the frozen coffee ice cubes in a glass and fill with your freshly brewed coffee.
Make sure you use the right proportion of water to coffee when brewing at home. If you skimp on the water, your coffee may be too strong for you. However, if you use too much water, your coffee will taste watered down. A good guideline is to use 16 ounces of water for every 8-ounce cup of coffee.
A great tip to remember if you love brewing coffee is to make sure you clean your kitchen equipment now and then. If you don’t clean your coffee pot often, it won’t take long for the particles to build up and you’ll soon start to notice a very bitter taste with your coffee.
Look at where your coffee originated. Where the coffee was grown makes a big deal to the overall flavour. For instance, Latin American countries tend to grow beans that have a milder taste. If you are looking for more of an exotic taste, you’ll want to consider coffees from Africa.
Cooking with Coffee
Try using coffee when cooking meats. When you think of coffee in foods, you typically think of a flavour that is rather strong. In desserts, that’s definitely true. But when you use coffee as a rub for red meat, it actually brings out the flavour of the meat itself, making for a much tastier meal.
You don’t have to go out for fancy coffee. You can easily make lattes and other drinks at home inexpensively. Research how to make your favourite coffee drinks online. You will be surprised at how many of them; you can make without the aid of fancy appliances. Likely, a simple coffee maker is all you’ll need.
Packaging is important when it comes to coffee. It you buy coffee beans, pay attention to the packaging they come in. Make sure you buy beans with quality packaging. Also pay attention to how long it took to package these beans and how long they’ve been sitting on a shelf. Little facts like these can make a big difference in taste.

Find best priceTo get the strongest cup of coffee, only grind your beans immediately before you brew them. While grinding is fun and fills your kitchen with the enticing aroma of fresh coffee, it also immediately releases the flavour of your beans, limiting their shelf life. To get the freshest brew every time, invest in a coffee machine that both grinds and brews.
Keep your coffee machine clean. Once you are done drinking coffee, you should rinse the coffee pot and remove the coffee grounds. Rinse the machine as best as you can and run hot water through it at least once a week to clean it thoroughly. Do not leave coffee or grounds in your machine for more than an hour.
Take care in selecting your next coffee maker. A French press will create the most concentrated flavour. Glass will not retain it for very long. Check out machines that brew one cup at a time if nobody else in your household drinks coffee.
Bean to Cup Latte Decorations

With some practice, you can make latte art as good as any barista using milk and melted chocolate. Always find out how much caffeine a certain type of coffee contains before drinking it. Espressos do not necessarily contain more caffeine than other types of coffees. If you go to a coffee shop, your barista should be able to tell you how much caffeine you are getting in each beverage, but you might have to do some research about the beans you are using if you make your own coffee.
