With a Milk Frother

Heat and froth the milk in your milk frother. Then pour into a bowl and add the honey and vanilla. Stir the honey in the milk until it dissolves. Proceed to the turmeric mixture with milk frother.

Without a Milk Frother

In a medium pan measure and pour in the milk, honey, and vanilla. Warm these ingredients up on a medium heat. Slowly stir with a stainless-steel spoon until the honey has completely dissolved. Lower the heat to low.

2. Turmeric Mixture

Mix in 1 ½ teaspoons of the turmeric mixture into the milk and stir gently. When the herb and spice mix is thoroughly mixed, then remove the pan from the heat.

With Milk Frother

If you have a milk frother, then you must add the turmeric mixture after you froth your milk and heat the milk in the milk frother. Do not add the turmeric spices into the milk frother. The milk frothers are only made for milk. So, in a mug or small bowl mix the frother milk and the turmeric mixture.

Next pour the milk mixture through a strainer into your favourite mug or a high walled bowl so you can froth the turmeric milk.

If you have a handheld milk frother you can mix the turmeric milk after you have mixed the spice in. Then you would strain the milk and you can froth the milk again. Find your favourite mug and pour the mixture into the mug.

Serve and enjoy.

Buying Turmeric

fresh turmericThere are of course many ways to buy turmeric, but one of the best ways is to buy the fresh root. If you can find fresh turmeric root at your local veggie stand or market then you are golden.

The next best thing is to buy turmeric organic and as freshly bottled or zip locked as possible. Fresh is always the best. Check the sell by or used by date of all spices you are buying. If you do not see a date on a spice bottle, do not use it.

The Taste

This is a spicy drink but not spicy hot. The taste is going to be different than anything you have had. It may not be as delicious as a coffee with sugar and such. This drink is for health. You can drink coffee, sugar, and milk anytime, but to continue to do so, it does not hurt to drink something very healthy for you.
