Conclusion
The Bosch Tassimo Vivy pod coffee machine is very compact and doesn’t use up too much space on the counter. It has an adjustable stand for different size cups and travel mugs which is great but both espressos and cappuccinos tasted bitter and it was quite slow to pour a coffee compared to others we have tested but at this price there was down to be a few negatives compared to the competition. It does not store used pods so you must manually remove after each cup which is not exactly hard. Overall, not a fantastic coffee machine but extremely good for the price, certainly better than instant coffee and a kettle.

FAQ
Is there a hot water only button? So I could do away with my kettle?
New machines come with a flat, orange plastic pod. DON’T THROW IT AWAY! Insert this into where the coffee pod would normally go (barcode inverted), close the lid and press the big button as if making coffee. Hey presto! Hot clear water.
Is the size of cup/mug fixed or can you vary, and if so how is the water volume and coffee strength fixed?
You can vary the cup/mug size by moving the drip tray up or down, higher for expense or lower for milk based drinks. Unfortunately you are unable to alter the strength of the coffee, which is the only problem I have with my Tassimo as I do not like strong coffee, apart from I am extremely happy with everything it has to offer.
Can you use other branded pods in the Bosch Tassimo Vivy pod coffee machine?
No, only Tassimo Pods fit. Why would you want to use anything else, Tassimo tastes far better than any other make!
